Top issues facing families explored in LifeWay survey

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)–A Web survey on the “Top 10 Issues Facing Today’s Family” is being conducted by LifeWay Christian Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention, and Christian adults worldwide are invited to participate.

From now until Dec. 20, input for the survey can be provided at www.lifeway.com/top10.

This is the second top 10 survey conducted by the Southern Baptist entity’s e-business department.

Last year more than 1,300 people from around the world responded to a LifeWay e-business survey on the “Top 10 Issues Facing Today’s Churches.”

“One of the most valuable interactions we seek is actively listening to our customers,” said Gary McClure, marketing manager in LifeWay’s e-business department. “An opportunity such as Top 10 issues provides terrific insight into what is important to them.”

From the initial list of responses, the 20 most frequently submitted answers will be sent back to all participants who originally offered input. This second phase begins in January, with these participants will using the same Internet survey tool to rank their top 10 from among those 20 issues.

E-business will reveal one issue each Monday on LifeWay.com beginning in early February with No. 10. The entire list will be released by early April. At the completion of the project, e-business will produce a free report detailing each of the issues and outlining multiple resources that address each topic.

“It seems our current culture frequently focuses only on problems,” McClure said. “We want to take a step further and also offer potential answers to those problems. Even better, we want to ensure the solutions have eternal consequences.”
