NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)–Bobby Welch, strategist for Global Evangelical Relations with the Southern Baptist Convention’s Executive Committee, is using the social networking tool Twitter to provide updates on his efforts worldwide.
An e-mail distribution from his office Jan. 18 said, “If you would like to travel around the globe with Bobby — hearing, seeing, and sharing the adventures of the SBC connecting — where amazing doors are opening wider than ever before … then come and go through them with Bobby and GER.”
Welch, a former SBC president and former pastor of First Baptist Church in Daytona Beach, Fla., began his work as GER strategist in 2007 with a goal of connecting Southern Baptists with evangelicals in other nations as they seek to fulfill the Great Commission.
