NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)–“The Everyone Can Kingdom Challenge for Evangelism” national bus tour by Southern Baptist Convention President Bobby Welch will visit churches in New Mexico and Colorado on Thursday, Sept. 30.
The day’s stops will include rallies at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Las Vegas, N.M., and at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Aurora, Colo.
On Friday, rallies are slated at 10 a.m. at Big Horn Baptist Church in Buffalo, Wyo., and at 6 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in Billings, Mont. Wednesday’s stops were at West Bellevue Baptist Church in Bellevue, Neb., and Haven Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kan. While in the Kansas City area, the bus also made a stop at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
The tour began Aug. 29 at Welch’s home church in Florida, First Baptist Church in Daytona Beach, and will end with stops via air travel Oct. 5-7 in Canada, Alaska and Hawaii.
Welch conceived of a national bus tour rally as a means of generating a sense of urgency about evangelism among Southern Baptists. The bus tour is a kickoff for “The Everyone Can Kingdom Challenge for Evangelism” campaign which has the goal of “Witness, Win and Baptize … ONE MILLION!” in one year.
