NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)–“The Everyone Can Kingdom Challenge for Evangelism” national tour by Southern Baptist Convention President Bobby Welch concludes today with its final rally in Hawaii.

The 6 p.m. rally will be held at Waikoloa Baptist Church in Waikoloa.

On Wednesday, the tour reached the 49th of the 50 states in Alaska with a rally at Muldoon Road Baptist Church in Anchorage. The 48-state continental U.S. bus tour portion of Welch’s tour concluded Tuesday with a rally at Tacoma First Baptist Church in Washington. The Tuesday schedule also included a visit at The Bridge, a congregation in Vancouver, the Canadian city which is part of the SBC’s Strategic Focus Cities evangelistic and church planting emphasis.

The tour began Aug. 29 at Welch’s home church in Florida, First Baptist Church in Daytona Beach.

Welch conceived of a national bus tour rally as a means of generating a sense of urgency about evangelism among Southern Baptists. The bus tour is a kickoff for “The Everyone Can Kingdom Challenge for Evangelism” campaign which has the goal of “Witness, Win and Baptize … ONE MILLION!” in one year.
