God cares about those in need. He demonstrates this aspect of His nature throughout the Old and New Testaments. He also made it clear that He expects us to minister in His name to the hurting and hungry.
Children, often the most tragic victims of hunger, possess the least ability to remedy their situation. We have an obligation to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of these who have infinite value in God’s sight.
