During the National Religious Broadcaster's sixtieth annual convention, Rev. Adrian Rogers, pastor of Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova, Tenn., was presented with NRB's highest honor — a place in the Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame induction took place on Feb. 10 in Nashville. More than 6,000 communicators and broadcasters were gathered for the ceremony. According to the NRB vice president, the award is presented to an individual who, for a significant period of time, has made an invaluable contribution to the field of Christian communication

Rogers began his broadcast ministry in 1951 in Fort Pierce, Fla. He purchased air time with his own money and preached a weekly program called The Closer Walk Hour.

In 1987, Love Worth Finding debuted on seventeen TV stations and nineteen radio stations. Today, the program is broadcast on more than 14,000 TV outlets and 2,000 radio stations across America and in 120 nations worldwide. Love Worth Finding also is translated into a Spanish version, El Amor Que Vale. Love Worth Finding is aired daily on Memphis Christian radio.

Rogers has pastored Bellevue since 1972, leading the church growth from 9,000 members to more than 28,000 members today. He also has been elected three times as president of the Southern Baptist Convention and has written numerous books.
