
Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary
Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary will host a gathering of alumni and friends for its annual Southern Baptist Convention luncheon Wednesday, June 13, at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans.
Tickets for the event, which begins at noon following the Wednesday morning session of the SBC annual meeting, are $15 per person. Seminary President William O. Crews is slated to give a "State of the Seminary" address. In addition, seminary officials will recognize this year's recipient of the GGBTS Alumni Achievement Award.

Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary alumni will meet Wednesday, June 13, for their annual luncheon in connection with the Southern Baptist Convention meeting in New Orleans. Newly elected President R. Philip Roberts will be the keynote speaker.
Held in Room 13 of the Southwest Quad of the Louisiana Superdome, tickets can be purchased from the Midwestern booth on Monday prior to the convention meeting for $17 each.
Honored as alumni of the year will be Midwestern Seminary Old Testament professor Al Bean and Oklahoma pastor James Leon Wilson of South Park Baptist Church in Norman. Honorary alumni to be honored include David Bennett, who recently retired as evangelism director for Missouri Baptist Convention, Paul Brooks, pastor of First Baptist Church of Raytown, Mo., and Herman Russell, missionary candidate consultant with the International Mission Board.
New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary
New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary's annual Alumni & Friends Reunion will be a luncheon meeting June 13 during the Southern Baptist Convention in New Orleans.
To begin at noon, the luncheon will be held on the grounds of the seminary's campus at 3939 Gentilly Blvd. The meeting will include the annual "State of the Seminary" address by NOBTS President Chuck Kelley and the faculty's annual presentation of the distinguished alumni awards.
Tickets will be available at the SBC annual meeting at the NOBTS booth in the exhibit hall for $7.50 per person.
The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary
The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary will hold its luncheon for alumni and friends at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, in the Louisiana Superdome. The seminary's president, R. Albert Mohler Jr., will be among the speakers.
The luncheon will take place in Southwest Quad Rooms 15 and 16 on the Loge Level.

Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary
Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forest, N.C., will host its annual alumni luncheon, Wednesday, June 13, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in New Orleans.
Paige Patterson, Southeastern president and immediate past president of the Southern Baptist Convention, will preside at the luncheon and reward one Southeastern graduate with the 2001 Distinguished Alumnus of the Year Award.
Held in Regency D Ballroom on level three of the hotel, the luncheon will begin at noon. To obtain luncheon tickets, which cost $12 each, stop by Southeastern's booth in the exhibit hall.
Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
Jack Graham, F.B. Huey, Leon McBeth, and Charles Sullivan will be honored as distinguished alumni at this year's Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary National Alumni Luncheon.
The luncheon is scheduled for Wednesday, June 13, at 12:30 p.m. in the Esplanade A/B/C at the Hyatt Regency in New Orleans, near the Superdome, site of the Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting.
Graham is pastor of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Dallas; Huey is a professor of Old Testament emeritus at Southwestern; McBeth is a Baptist historian and distinguished professor of church history at Southwestern; and Sullivan is executive director-treasurer of the State Convention of Baptists in Indiana.
Alumni at the luncheon will also hear a report about the seminary from Southwestern President Kenneth S. Hemphill and vote on new officers for the national alumni association.
Tickets are $18 per person and may be purchased at the Southwestern Seminary booth at the SBC annual meeting June 11 and 12. No tickets will be sold June 13.
FAITH Awareness Luncheon
On Tuesday, June 12, a FAITH awareness luncheon for pastors of churches currently not participating in FAITH who want to learn more about how the strategy can work in their congregations will be held from 11:45 a.m. to 12:55 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Poydras A/B on Level 2.
There is no charge for the luncheon, but tickets are required for admission. On Monday, June 11, tickets will be available at the FAITH information table in the SBC registration area. On Tuesday, June 12, tickets will be available in the FAITH booth in the exhibit hall. Attendance is limited to 300 people, so tickets will only be available while supplies last.
The Baptist World Alliance
The Baptist World Alliance will hold its annual Window on the World Breakfast at 7 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, at the Hyatt Regency in New Orleans. Featured speakers will include BWA President Billy Kim, pastor of the 15,000-member Central Baptist Church of Suwon, Korea, and BWA General Secretary Denton Lotz.
Tickets, at $15 each, may be purchased at the BWA booth in the SBC exhibit hall on Monday or Tuesday, June 11-12.
