[1]RICHMOND, Va. (BP)–University of Richmond senior catcher John Nathans has signed a contract with the Boston Red Sox, making him the third Spider to be selected in the major league baseball draft.
Nathans batted .290 during his three-year Richmond career with seven home runs and 59 RBI. He appeared in 105 games during his three seasons as a Spider.
