3 FAITH/Sunday School-related events scheduled during SBC

ST. LOUIS (BP)–Three events are scheduled during the 2002 Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting to extend appreciation to FAITH pastors and to give pastors of non-FAITH churches more information about the strategy. The FAITH/Sunday School area of LifeWay Christian Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention will sponsor all three events.

A celebration and thank you reception will be Monday evening, June 10, for all pastors whose churches have participated in the FAITH Sunday School evangelism strategy. The celebration in rooms 240-242, level two, of America’s Center in St. Louis will immediately follow the close of the SBC Pastors’ Conference.

A new event, a FAITH Force Multipliers’ lunch meeting for FAITH-trained pastors, will be Tuesday, June 11, immediately following the morning session of the SBC annual meeting. This free event will be at the Adam’s Mark Hotel in sections A-C of the Promenade Ballroom. Shuttle service will be provided. Requests are limited to a total of 500 persons. Major General William G. Boykin, head of the U.S. Army’s Special Forces, will be the speaker.

Pastors of non-FAITH churches who want to learn more about how the FAITH/Sunday School evangelism strategy can work in their congregations and help their churches grow are invited to a free FAITH awareness luncheon. Requests are limited to a total of 300 persons for the Tuesday, June 11, event during the convention meeting lunch break in rooms 240-242, level 2, of the America’s Center.

While there is no charge for either luncheon, tickets are required for admission. On Sunday, June 9, from 4-9 p.m., tickets will be available at the FAITH information table in the SBC registration area. On Monday, June 11, from 8 a.m.-9 p.m., tickets will be available in the FAITH booth in the exhibit hall.
