
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)–Four books published by Broadman & Holman Publishers, a division of LifeWay Christian Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention, have been selected as finalists in the 2003 Gold Medallion Awards Competition sponsored by the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association.
Categories range from Bibles and reference works to fiction and Christian living. Five titles are nominated within each category. Books are judged on content, literary quality, design and significance of the contribution.
B&H books selected as finalists and their categories include: “Mission Compromised” by Oliver North (fiction); “Jesus the One and Only” by Beth Moore (Christian living); “Experiencing God Together” by Henry Blackaby and Melvin Blackaby (Christian ministry); and “Just Like Jesus Said” series by Melody Carlson (elementary children).
The 2003 Gold Medallion Book Awards winners will be announced at the 26th annual Gold Medallion Book Awards banquet in Orlando, Fla., July 12. Joni Eareckson Tada, recipient of the 2003 prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for her exceptional record of service in Christian ministry, will be the keynote speaker for the banquet.
