6/12/97 Web site goes on-line for Christian singles

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)–Savvy Christian singles can now cybersurf through the Internet to locate up-to-date information about relationships, career choices, finances, entertainment and current events.
Christian Single magazine, a current events periodical that addresses lifestyle issues of single adults from a positive, evangelical Christian perspective, recently added its presence to the World Wide Web. The magazine is produced by the Baptist Sunday School Board’s discipleship and family magazine department.
Christian Single Online “is the only web site of its kind dedicated specifically to Christian singles,” according to the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Stephen Felts.
The web site offers the current month’s feature stories and articles as well as the magazine’s best archived articles; it provides a ministry source for singles adults and their leaders; it offers entertainer/artist profiles and music, book and movie reviews; and it furnishes dates and locations for single adult events throughout the country.
Each monthly issue of Christian Single magazine contains a special section with four to six articles that explore issues, concerns and opportunities relevant to living a Christian lifestyle, Felts said. Magazine departments include an editor’s message, reader letters, Micro-Info (small bits of information), profiles of Christians who put their faith to work in life, Direct Line (experts answering reader questions), Body Shop (tips for the body, mind and soul), articles for single parents, and reviews and entertainment.
“Our intent for the magazine is to provide practical help, proven answers and spiritual insight to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of today’s single adult,” Felts said.
Christian Single Online’s address on the World Wide Web is www.christiansingle.com.
