JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. (BP)–The Carson-Newman Eagle baseball team showed their offensive muscle Sunday afternoon as they hit six homeruns in a 23-7 win over the Newberry Indians. With the win, the Eagles sweep the series and improve to 14-18 overall and 6-5 in the South Atlantic Conference.
Meanwhile, two school records were broken and one was tied by the Wake Forest men’s and women’s track teams Friday and Saturday at the Wake Forest Relays in Kentner Stadium on the campus of Wake Forest University. Carol Merritt broke school records in the 100-Meter Dash and 200-Meter Dash winning the 100m with a time of 11.97 and the 200m in 25.22.
