(BP) – In his first report to Southern Baptist messengers, GuideStone Financial Resources President Hance Dilbeck recalled the first time he contacted the call center of GuideStone as a 25-year-old pastor as he and his wife Julie were expecting their second child and had no insurance.

DALLAS (BP) -- 2021 has witnessed hospitals and ICUs filled to capacity, increased claims related to COVID-19 testing and care, significant increases in pharmacy claims, as well as additional care that was delayed due to COVID-19 isolation in 2020. All have contributed to drive insurance rates to rise for 2022 throughout the United States.

On a clear day from O. S. Hawkins’s office in a North Dallas high-rise, you can see all the way to Fort Worth, his hometown. It may be fewer than forty miles from Crenshaw Street on Fort Worth’s East Side, where Hawkins grew up, to GuideStone’s offices. But in many ways, it’s a world away and part of the culmination of a journey the Lord Himself orchestrated.

NASHVILLE (BP) – GuideStone President O.S. Hawkins thanked Southern Baptists for their support, prayers and the opportunity to serve the 103-year-old ministry as he gave his final report to messengers meeting Monday (June 15) in Nashville. Hawkins last year asked trustees to appoint a presidential search committee, chaired by retired Kansas pastor and trustee Steve Dighton. Last month, trustees unanimously elected D. Hance Dilbeck Jr., to become GuideStone president-elect.

DALLAS (BP) -- D. Hance Dilbeck Jr. was unanimously elected GuideStone president-elect during a called meeting of the GuideStone Trustee Board on Thursday (May 20). Dilbeck, executive director-treasurer of Oklahoma Baptists since 2018, accepted the call and gave thanks to the Lord, his family and trustees for the opportunity to serve at GuideStone.

DALLAS (BP) – GuideStone trustees gathered March 1 for their Winter 2021 meeting, their second Zoom meeting of the full trustee board in the last year. Trustees joined from around the United States to hear GuideStone’s management team reports about results, strategic endeavors and other priorities.
