PADUCAH, Ky. GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (BP) -- Colorado Baptists will operate on a smaller budget next year but give more money to national and world missions, messengers voted at the 2013 annual meeting.

HENDERSON, Nev. (BP) -- Nevada Baptists approved an increase in their Cooperative Program giving for worldwide mission causes during their 35th annual meeting at Green Valley Baptist Church in Henderson.

AMARILLO, Texas (BP) -- The Southern Baptists of Texas Convention, meeting in Amarillo, Texas, embraced a "Look Like Heaven" emphasis to spur cross-cultural worship and cooperation, approved a $27,149,526 Cooperative Program budget -- a 3.06 percent increase -- and elected a new president, Jimmy Pritchard of Forney, Texas.

JUNEAU, Alaska (BP) -- The Alaska Baptist Convention is budgeting just over $700,000 in Cooperative Program gifts from the 100 cooperating churches in the state in 2014, a 2.8 percent increase over the $683,679 received in 2013.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (BP) -- With the theme "Pressing On," New Mexico Baptists approved marriage and pro-life resolutions, various recommendations and a $4.8 million budget during their annual meeting.
