6 B&H books selected as Gold Medallion finalists


NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)–Six books published by the Baptist Sunday School Board’s Broadman & Holman Publishers have been selected as finalists in the 1997 Gold Medallion Awards Competition sponsored by the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association.
This year’s competition drew a record 496 entries from 59 publishers. Five finalists have been selected in each of 20 categories. Books are judged on content, literary quality, design and significance of the contribution.
B&H books selected as finalists and their categories include: “The Meaning of a Man” by Ronnie W. Floyd, Inspirational; “The Financially Confident Woman” by Mary Hunt, Christian Living; “Created to Learn” by William R. Yount and “Transformational Leadership” by Phillip V. Lewis, Christian Ministry; “Fresh Encounter” by Henry T. Blackaby and Claude V. King, Missions/Evangelism; and “The Father Connection” by Josh McDowell.
The winners in this 20th annual competition will be announced July 12 during the annual convention of the Christian Booksellers Association in Atlanta.
