(BP) -- In a letter sent Friday (Feb. 3) to the churches of the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware, president Glenn Swanson announced that state executive director Michael Crawford had resigned from the position effective immediately "due to moral failure involving marital indiscretions which disqualifies him from this position."

Trial date set for case involving Patterson, SWBTS

SHERMAN, Texas (BP) – A court date has been set for a trial involving former Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary President Paige Patterson and the seminary and an alleged sexual abuse survivor. U.S. District Judge Sean Jordan set the trial date for April 3, 2023.
