FORT WORTH, Texas – Graduates of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Texas Baptist College (TBC) were challenged to minister in light of the fact that enthroned Jesus is “reigning over the universe” and their own lives and ministries, during the May 2 spring commencement address by Richard Ross, senior professor of student ministry and two-time alumnus (’74, ’80).
Southwestern alumnus Adam Groza marks first year as Gateway Seminary president
FORT WORTH (BP) -- Adam Groza didn’t grow up Southern Baptist, so when a friend suggested he check out Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, he said, “I had never heard of Southwestern Seminary. I didn’t know about Southern Baptist seminaries, quite frankly.” Now he is approaching his first anniversary as president of Gateway Seminary, the Southern Baptist Convention’s only seminary in the western United States.

Long-time SWBTS Old Testament professor F. B. Huey dies
FORT WORTH, Texas – Two-time Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary alumnus and long-time professor of Old Testament F. B. Huey Jr. died April 7. He was 100 years old.
