Former Promise Keepers employee to direct IMB customer services

RICHMOND, Va. (BP)-Jason Beasley, a former Promise Keepers employee, has joined the Southern Baptist International Mission Board as director of customer services.
Beasley will direct a refocused customer services program designed as a one-stop source for basic information about IMB missionaries, products, services and events, according to Wendy Norvelle, associate vice president for public relations.
“We want to provide Southern Baptists with the very best information and resources as they reach out to the world for Christ,” Norvelle said. “Customer services is going to be the front line of information for the whole organization.
“Instead of someone being transferred three times to get bits and pieces of information, we’re going to provide the first-level information that’s needed when the phone is answered. Our goal is to enhance our service to Southern Baptists and enable them to fulfill their vision for the world.” Beasley comes to the board after three years in the product department at Promise Keepers headquarters in Denver, where he supervised the Internet resource center. Earlier, he worked in customer service for Circuit City in Arlington, Va., and Worthen National Bank in Little Rock, Ark.
A Texas native, Beasley graduated from Ouachita Baptist University, Arkadelphia, Ark., in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is married to the former Molly Mitchell. They have a 1-year-old son.
