Southern Seminary hosting Hispanic leaders conference

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (BP)–The increasing number of Spanish-speaking people in the United States presents both a ministry opportunity and a challenge for churches in the 21st century. In order to help meet the growing need, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary is hosting an inaugural Hispanic Leaders Institute conference July 18-19.

The conference has been designed to equip church leaders with the tools they need to effectively serve Hispanic congregations.

Plenary sessions will deal with general issues of church leadership, including characteristics of biblical leadership, training leaders for the church and the needs of the church in the 21st century. The conference also will include workshops on specific types of ministry such as prayer, youth, children, evangelism and missions.
