NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)–“The Everyone Can Kingdom Challenge for Evangelism” national bus tour by Southern Baptist Convention President Bobby Welch is traveling through the Midwestern states of Illinois and Indiana on Friday, Sept. 24.
The schedule included stops at 10 a.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Decatur, Ill., and at 6 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Greenwood, Ind.
During the weekend, stops are slated at 10:15 a.m. Sunday at Highland Crest Baptist Church in Green Bay, Wis., and at 6 p.m. at Bay Area Community Church in Menominee, Minn.
Yesterday’s stops were at First Baptist Church in Cabot, Ark., and First Baptist Church in Lebanon, Mo.
The tour began Aug. 29 at Welch’s home church in Florida, First Baptist Church in Daytona Beach, and will end with stops via air travel Oct. 5-7 in Canada, Alaska and Hawaii.
Welch conceived of a national bus tour rally as a means of generating a sense of urgency about evangelism among Southern Baptists. The bus tour is a kickoff for “The Everyone Can Kingdom Challenge for Evangelism” campaign which has the goal of “Witness, Win and Baptize … ONE MILLION!” in one year.
