JACKSON, Miss. (BP) -- A former convention staff member, Douglas Matthew "Matt" Buckles Sr., was elected as the Mississippi Baptist Convention's president during the Oct. 29-30 annual meeting at First Baptist Church in Jackson.
William Carey Univ. names R. Thomas King as president
HATTIESBURG, Miss. (BP)--William Carey University trustees on Feb. 15 removed the word “acting” from R. Thomas (Tommy) King’s title, selecting him as the ninth president of the Mississippi Baptist-affiliated institution of higher learning based in Hattiesburg.
