An initial run of the columnists’ rotation was completed in July in preparation for the official August launch.

“I’m very pleased about the stellar lineup of columnists who’ve agreed to join our Baptist Press team,” said Will Hall, BP executive editor and vice president for news services with the SBC Executive Committee. “I’m also excited about the variety of ministry areas that will be added to our news content. These regular columns will help us as a Christian news service to improve how we inform and equip our readers for life, work and ministry.”

On BPSports, meanwhile, a weekly column by Tim Ellsworth, a sportswriter based in Mulkeytown, Ill., has been launched. Ellsworth’s column appears each Wednesday at www.bpsports.net.

BP’s national columnist, Kelly Boggs, will continue to be featured each Friday. Boggs is pastor of Valley Baptist Church, McMinnville, Ore.
