Muslim friend opens classroom in Chinese city to worker’s faith

BEIJING (BP)–While prayerwalking is considered to be vital in reaching China’s cities and ethnic minority groups for Christ, one full-time Christian worker recently opted out of a strategic walk at the last minute — due to an unexpected call from a Muslim friend.

When the Muslim asked his Christian friend to come and explain the meaning of Christmas to his students, the worker felt he should give immediate priority to the opportunity.

As the prayerwalk proceeded without him, the Christian worker and his wife traveled to an unreached city to stand before a classroom of children and share the story of the Savior’s birth, while the Muslim friend translated their words into Chinese.

The Muslim friend later reminded the class that the Jesus in the story was the same one who said, “A new commandment I have given you that you love one another.”

The Christian worker afterwards took note of God’s Word miraculously going forth even in communist China through the mouth of a Muslim teacher.
