Registration under way for SBC DayCamp 2002


ALPHARETTA, Ga. (BP)–Children attending the 2002 Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting with their parents in St. Louis this June will have an opportunity to experience missions through SBC DayCamp 2002.

With a theme of “Gateway for Missions,” the camp will be offered for boys and girls who will have completed grades one through six by June. The camp will include fun and games, interaction with missionaries, and a hands-on mission project.

Registration is open to participants at a cost of $75 per child for those before May 1, and $85 per child from May 1 through May 27.

The schedule is Tuesday, June 11, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (lunch included) and Wednesday, June 12, from 8 a.m. to noon. Parents also will be required to sign a medical release for their children.

Day campers should dress comfortably and are required to wear a day camp wristband, day camp T-shirt (provided through registration), soft-sole recreation shoes and socks.

Volunteers also are being enlisted to help staff the camp.
