Samford varsity & freshmen pick up tempo in practice

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (BP)–Samford University’s varsity and freshmen players picked up the tempo in their second practice as a full squad. The Bulldogs practiced in helmets and shoulder pads Saturday as two-a-day drills continued.

Less than 24 hours after varsity players joined the freshmen for the first complete team practice Friday, head coach Pete Hurt upped the tempo by having his players practice in shoulder pads in morning and afternoon sessions.
