NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)–Tennessee Baptists sent the largest number of messengers, 1,955 according to unofficial totals, of the 11,641 who registered for the June 21-22 Southern Baptist Convention’s annual meeting in Nashville, Tenn.
Other leading states, according to unofficial totals, were Georgia, with 1,021 messengers, and Kentucky, 989.
The number of messengers registering online was 9,225, according to the unofficial totals, with 7,407 of those registrants present in Nashville.
A total of 4,976 churches were represented, according to the unofficial totals.
Last year’s registration total in Indianapolis was 8,600,
