THE VOTE: How Congress voted on the marriage amendment


WASHINGTON (BP)–Following is the House of Representatives’ vote tally on the Marriage Protection Amendment. The amendment fell short of the required 290 votes but did receive a majority of support Sept. 30. The vote was 227-186.
