ARCHAEOLOGY: Discoveries made in King Solomon’s city at Tel Gezer, SWBTS reports
NEVE SHALOM, Israel (BP) -- An international team of archaeologists has excavated the remains of King Solomon's city at Tel Gezer. The site -- located between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv -- is known as one of the three major cities that Solomon fortified, according the biblical account of Solomon's reign as recorded in the Book of Kings (1 Kings. 9:15-17).

JERUSALEM -- The period of the United Monarchy has received much press and attention this summer as current excavation projects in Israel have presented sensational results. 
While much attention has been paid to King David’s activities, archaeologists have been quietly excavating one of the famed cities of Solomon since 2006.
