SAN DIEGO (BP)--Miami Dolphins head coach Dave Wannstedt was pretty desperate. The year was 1988 and Wannstedt was sitting under a palm tree in his backyard fairly miserable. After trying a number of solutions, including a one-day stint with a yoga instructor, Wannstedt was still unhappy.

      SAN DIEGO (BP)--A weeping security guard was the last thing Super Bowl intern Kim Guyton expected to find outside a San Diego hotel, but it proved to be an important ministry assignment for the Oklahoma Baptist University student.
      Guyton, serving as an intern for the San Diego Host Committee of Super Bowl XXXVI, was returning from an errand when she encountered the distraught security guard. Guyton was accompanied by a fellow intern who was not a believer.

SAN DIEGO (BP)--There's a small Southern Baptist church in the southeastern part of San Diego that takes its responsibility for evangelizing the neighborhood seriously. Encanto Southern Baptist Church is known as the colorful church that looks like an Army barracks. That's fine for most of the 250-plus members, but whatever you do, don't accuse church leaders of painting the building pink.
