Registration opens for 2003 journalism conference

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)--Registration for the 2003 Baptist Press Student Journalism Conference is underway, according to Will Hall, vice president for news services with the Southern Baptist Convention Executive Committee and executive editor of Baptist Press.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)--Jerry Jenkins, coauthor of the best-selling "Left Behind" book series, will be the keynote speaker for the third annual Baptist Press Student Journalism Conference, Oct. 9-11 in Nashville, Tenn.
      The author of more than 150 books, Jenkins joins a list of nationally recognized speakers who have addressed the conference -- which is geared toward college students -- in its first three years. Peggy Wehmeyer, a former religion reporter for ABC News, was the keynote speaker last year, while Fred Barnes of FOX News was the keynoter in 2001.
