DALLAS (BP)–The Annuity Board is responding to the growing needs of language congregations in the Southern Baptist Convention with the introduction of a new retirement video series. A 15-minute video in Spanish, Korean and English is now available to ministers and church employees.
The video highlights the benefits of the Church Annuity Plan, a 403(b) retirement plan designed exclusively for Southern Baptist ministers and church employees. This retirement plan also provides disability and survivor benefits and matching retirement contributions for eligible participants.
“We are excited about these new language videos,” said Kevy Rojas, the Annuity Board’s multicultural relationship manager. “In 2003, more than 43 percent of the new church starts reported by the North American Mission Board were ethnic congregations and the number is growing.
“The Annuity Board is responding to this need with the introduction of these videos in Spanish and Korean and will be adding Vietnamese and French Haitian versions this summer.”
