Campbellsville University announces Coca-Cola Bottling Co. partnership


CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (BP)–Campbellsville University has signed a contract with Western Kentucky Coca-Cola naming Coca-Cola products as the official soft drink for the university.
Russell Montgomery, manager of the Campbellsville cola plant, said, “We at Western Kentucky Coca-Cola are pleased to be able to help Campbellsville University financially.”
Kenneth W. Winters, president of the 1,600-student Baptist-related university, said, “We are appreciative to Coca-Cola and its support of this institution. The name ‘Coca-Cola’ defines ‘quality,’ and we are most gratified to announce this corporate partnership.”
Montgomery said, “We feel very proud to have this great learning institution located right here in central Kentucky. The education, in addition to jobs and services the university provides for the community, is tremendous.” He added, “It behooves all of us during this economic downturn in Taylor County to help protect the jobs we have in addition to seeking new ones.”
Campbellsville University, founded in 1906, is affiliated with the Kentucky Baptist Convention.

McKinney is Campbellsville’s public relations director.
