The schedule included stops at 9 a.m. at South Reno Baptist Church in Reno, Nev., and at 6:30 p.m. at Suburban Heights Baptist Church in Klamath Falls, Ore.

Tuesday’s scheduled visits are at 10 a.m. at Tacoma First Baptist Church in Tacoma, Wash., and at 6 p.m. in the Strategic Focus City of Vancouver, Canada.

On Saturday the bus visited First Baptist Church in Burley, Idaho, and First Baptist Church in West Valley City, Utah. Yesterday’s stops included visits to First Southern Baptist Church in Kingman, Ariz., and Immanuel Baptist Church in Highland, Calif.

The tour began Aug. 29 at Welch’s home church in Florida, First Baptist Church in Daytona Beach, and will end with stops via air travel Oct. 5-7 in Canada, Alaska and Hawaii.

Welch conceived of a national bus tour rally as a means of generating a sense of urgency about evangelism among Southern Baptists. The bus tour is a kickoff for “The Everyone Can Kingdom Challenge for Evangelism” campaign which has the goal of “Witness, Win and Baptize … ONE MILLION!” in one year.
