Oklahoma Baptists staff to relocate to building purchased by WatersEdge

OKLAHOMA CITY (BP) -- On Feb. 8, the board of directors for the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma unanimously approved a plan for the Baptist Foundation of Oklahoma, doing business as WatersEdge, to purchase an office building near downtown Oklahoma City.

Todd Fisher elected executive director-treasurer for Oklahoma Baptists

Oklahoma pastor retires after six decades at one church

Oklahoma Baptists, NAMB announce new church planting network

OKLAHOMA CITY (BP) -- Leaders with Oklahoma Baptists and the North American Mission Board (NAMB) have announced a new church planting partnership that will enhance church planting across Oklahoma. "Send Network Oklahoma" was approved by Oklahoma Baptists' board members during a recent board meeting.

Hance Dilbeck elected as Okla. executive director

OKLAHOMA CITY (BP) -- Hance Dilbeck was elected as the next executive director of the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma in a unanimous vote by the BGCO Board of Directors Dec. 11 in Oklahoma City. Dilbeck, who has served as senior pastor of Quail Springs Baptist Church in Oklahoma City since 2003, will become the ninth executive director in the convention's 101-year history. Dilbeck will succeed current BGCO Executive Director-Treasurer Anthony Jordan, who has led the convention since April 1996. Members of the BGCO Executive Search Committee, who began their search last September, spoke enthusiastically about Dilbeck during the Dec. 11 meeting at the Baptist Building, voicing how they believe God guided the decision process.

Dilbeck recommended as next BGCO exec. director

OKLAHOMA CITY (BP) -- On Dec. 11, board members of the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma will gather at the Baptist Building in Oklahoma City to consider a recommendation to make Hance Dilbeck the next BGCO executive director-treasurer. The nomination of Dilbeck, who serves as pastor of Quail Springs Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, comes from the BGCO Board of Directors' Executive Director-Treasurer Search Committee. The committee formed and a search began after current BGCO Executive Director-Treasurer Anthony Jordan announced his retirement plans in September.
