SEBTS presidential search committee announces candidate deadline
WAKE FOREST, N.C. – Following President Danny Akin’s retirement announcement Oct. 14 Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary’s presidential search committee has begun the process of searching for the institution’s seventh president. The committee invites Southern Baptists to submit candidate recommendations by Nov. 30, 2025.

TRUSTEES: SEBTS approves budget, faculty, curriculum changes

(BP) – Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS) trustees approved the 2021-2022 budget to include a 2.36 percent increase from the previous year, approved faculty elections and promotions as well as several new curriculum additions and took other important measures at their April 12-13 meeting.

WAKE FOREST, N.C. (BP) – The coronavirus pandemic has certainly made for one of the most challenging and unique years in Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS) history. Despite being unable to meet in person for graduation ceremonies due to the pandemic, family and friends gathered virtually Friday (Dec. 11) to celebrate the school’s 274 fall graduates – 39 from the undergraduate level, 190 from the graduate level and 45 from the advanced level.
