Never too young to share God’s Word

Every Sunday, 8-year-old Micah Singerman heard his parents, International Mission Board missionaries Kevin and Victoria Singerman, tell chronological Bible stories in Kampala, Uganda. He then watched the Ugandan believers go out and share the same story with people in their community.

The melody was the same, but the voices united in worship sang in numerous languages. “Then sings my soul,” sang a group in Arabic. Deaf believers lifted hands to sign “My Savior, God to thee, how great Thou Art.” The diverse group of worshipers praised in styles unique to their culture. Their praise, however, was joined to honor one God and their reason to gather was for one purpose — to ask God to send more missionaries from all nations to all nations.

Vietnamese refugee returns to nations

International Mission Board missionary Ruby Ng knows what being a refugee is like. The Vietnam War ravaged her home country during her childhood. Amidst all the violence and post-war fallout, she knew she had to leave. When she was 18, she escaped by boat and, after fleeing Vietnam, spent the next two years in a refugee camp. There, she was introduced to Jesus by missionaries who were also fleeing Vietnam.
