SBC Annual Meetings

The SBC's six seminaries honored alumni, marked milestones and celebrated God's blessings during their Alumni & Friends Luncheons Wednesday, June 10, in Orlando.

ORLANDO – Comprising members from nine different countries, the 11-member board of directors, which sets the strategic vision and governance for the Hispanic Baptist Network (HBN), held its first retreat June 5-6 in Orlando, in anticipation of the network's major Hispanic celebration and the 2026 SBC Annual Meeting.

ORLANDO, Fla. (BP) – Voices sang in Creole French, “Se yon privilèj, pou mwen adore w, Papa w fidèl, Papa w fidèl,” as the National Haitian Fellowship Worship Ensemble led Southern Baptist African diaspora fellowships in collective praise. “What a privilege to worship you, faithful God, faithful God,” they sang the English translation.

ORLANDO – A convention hall filled with thousands of Southern Baptists fell silent as the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard marched to the center of the stage to present the colors as messengers to the 2026 SBC Annual Meeting celebrated the liberties enjoyed in the United States.

ORLANDO (BP) – Nearly 150 fellowshipped, worshipped, ate and received ministry updates at the SBC National Haitian Fellowship (NHF)Business and Ministry Luncheon, held on June 7 at First Haitian Baptist Church of Orlando, with a theme built on Romans 8:37-39.

ORLANDO (BP)- Following a time of heartfelt a cappella singing of hymns, a capacity crowd filled a nearly 2,650-seat Chapin Theater in the Orange County Convention Center to hear a “State of the SBC” panel discussion presented by 9 Marks at the Southern Baptist Convention Annual Meeting in Orlando on June 9 at 9 p.m.

ORLANDO (BP) – A range of panelists at the Baptist 21 luncheon on June 8 expressed both differences and unity on topics within the Southern Baptist Convention, while agreeing that the SBC, as a whole, is going in the right direction.

ORLANDO – God sees the faithfulness of small church pastors and uses their ministry for His kingdom purposes, and during the SBC Annual Meeting, Tuesday, June 9, Southern Baptists sought to recognize their value as well.

ORLANDO (BP) – Southern Baptists gathered at the annual meeting to elect a new president, take actions that will shape the SBC in years to come and celebrate more than 1,000 salvations through Crossover alongside fellowship and reuniting with others.

ORLANDO (BP) – More than 40 resolutions were submitted by Southern Baptists for consideration by the SBC Committee on Resolutions this year, and the committee used 18 of those to craft the 11 resolutions adopted by messengers to the SBC Annual Meeting in Orlando June 9-10.
