NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)–Ron Pratt has been named national events planner for the two LifeWay Conference Centers.
Pratt, currently national consultant to ministers of education in LifeWay’s pastor-staff leadership department, will begin in his new position July 16.
Pratt will manage the development, promotion, sales and execution of national events planned for LifeWay Ridgecrest (N.C.) and Glorieta (N.M.) conference centers, both owned by LifeWay Christian Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention.
He will develop strategic plans, direct, control and coordinate all operational and strategic plans execution. Also, he will develop budgets and events to increase participation in conference center-sponsored events.
“Leadership training and development have been my passion since God called me into the ministry 33 years ago. For the last 19 years, I have focused my energies on seeking to provide the highest quality training and development experiences I could provide as a conference leader and consultant for LifeWay Church Resources,” said Pratt.
“This will be both a challenging and very rewarding opportunity as events are planned that will seek to draw more people to the conference centers where they can have a transformational experience with God. I am looking forward to partnering with LifeWay Church Resources (a division of LifeWay Christian Resources) in accepting the challenge of seeking to draw today’s and tomorrow’s adults, students and children to these two very special Christian conference centers,” he said.
Byron Hill, national director of LifeWay conference centers, said, “Ron brings with him to the job a combination of LifeWay experience and a network of contacts. From outside of LifeWay, he enjoys a mutual respect with ministers and churches. We’re thrilled to have him and he will bring a lot of creativity to this position.”
